In his long and victorious career, he has raced on the fastest tracks in the world, crossing different categories, from Kart to Formula 3, from Grand Touring to Endurance.
Above all, however, he has been the tricolor standard-bearer in Formula 1 for over 14 years, sitting in the single-seaters of great teams (Minardi, Jordan, Benetton, Sauber, Renault, Force India and Ferrari) and collecting three Grand Prix victories (Brazil in 2003, Australia in 2005 and Malaysia in 2006), 19 podiums and 2 constructors' world championships in F1. In addition he was a 2-time winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans GT class.
