Skid car and oversteering

Skid car, simulation of loss of grip

A skid car is a device that is attached to the rear wheels of a car and allows simulations of driving in low-grip conditions by raising the rear tires a few millimeters when braking. This condition, applied to a course full of curves, causes an oversteer situation. Besides being a fun activity, it is an excellent experience for those who want to train their driving in difficult conditions. The ability to use countersteer to correct the car's trajectory and skid is a fundamental quality for a true driver who must be able to master his car to the best of his ability in any situation. Therefore, the skid is one of the most important and difficult selection tests for our aspiring drivers.

How can I train myself?

The preparation

The partnership established with CarSchoolBox allows us to have real professional instructors with whom to build a real training course. They will help you correct all the instinctive mistakes caused by loss of grip. Be prepared. It's like driving on a sheet of ice. For our loyal readers, you can also use the code "GTTALENT" and access the half-day course to learn the correct techniques and hone your driving skills. Initially, you will go through a theoretical briefing of about half an hour and then move on to the practical part. With an experienced instructor beside you, you will go through each course analyzing your riding mistakes and successes.

Where do I train?

Needless to say, GT Talent confirms itself as the famous "place to be" for every aspiring driver. It is much more than a talent dedicated to Motorsport, in fact, with the skid car course, you will have an extra gear to face the most feared test among all the selections. You'll feel more confident (and safe) in everyday driving.

The appointment is in Castelletto di Branduzzo (PV), habitual stage of the format, together with our staff.
